The wine is a Franconian B-side to the Alpine wines of northern Italy and Switzerland. If you like those wines, then damn this wine will ring your bell. This is one of those wines that is just so slyly perfect, you might think it’s easy or simple. It is neither. Truly silken and finessed, perfectly clear and balanced, the wine would be overwhelmingly great if it didn’t come off as so easy, so natural. Here’s just a petite red wine for weekday drinking, that can quote Proust and play Liszt.
