Julian HaartRiesling Piesporter 2023 (750ml)

The 2023er Piesporter, as it is referred to on the red and silver front label, comes from the Goldtröpfchen. It initially has a quite smoky and herbal nose of mint, greengage, and pepper, before showing superb complexity and attractive notes of jasmine, candied grapefruit, thyme, anise, and black tea. The wine proves quite intense and superbly structured on the palate, where finesse only comes through in the superbly long and smoky finish. There is a hint of aromatic presence, yet the whole remains fresh and pure. This is a great dry Riesling in the making.

Plenty of peach, cassis and summer flower aromas make this succulent dry Mosel riesling a delight. Great mineral energy and vibrant acidity make this dance its way across the medium-bodied palate. Very long finish with spot-on balance and wonderful precision.
