Another great, great Lauer Kupp Kabi; soaring citrus and stone fruit, a muscular ten grams of acidity slicing open the wine to reveal a super-polished mineral core, salty like an ocean breeze. This is the Saar at its best.

Mosel Fine Wines | The 2023 Kupp Kabinett N°8, as it is referred to in the central part of the label, was made from fruit harvested at 78-79° Oechsle on the original Kupp hill and was fermented down to fruity-styled levels of residual sugar (45 g/l). This bright-white-yellow-colored wine offers a beautiful nose made of white flowers, grapefruit, bergamot, whipped cream, and strong smoky elements. It is full of tart grip and zest on the palate and leaves a nice tart yet also subtly creamy feel in the finish. The aftertaste reveals a riper side paired with fresher elements of grapefruit. | No 72 Sep 2024 |
